Do you guys remember this tweet?
You probably remember thinking “How the hell did he do that? And why can’t anyone take pictures of me looking that fab?” You probs didn’t use the word fab, that’s more my thing…. but whatever you said was in complete awe that an actual human being named Brandon Woelfel owns a camera and has a breathtaking photographic talent that you might have never seen before.
His work is simply ‘Iconic’, I capitalised it because of how important and significant this guy is. By now you must must must have seen his work, because trust me this guy is so damn talented. As an aspiring photographer myself I’m always looking for new photographers to admire and when I saw Brandon’s work I was honestly blown away. Unfortunately, some photos I see from other photographers don’t tell a story or the photographer never gave us one to imagine. It’s just “It’s a sunset…what does it mean to me? Nothing, it’s just a sunset.” Thankfully Brandon has delivered us from this. His photos don’t tell a story they give us a frickin’ movie, script, directors, tears and Oscars the lot!
What’s special and most recognisable about Brandon’s work is that he loves to use a lot of light and enhance pictures with light, the perfect image to give you feels for a thousand years. Firstly make sure to follow him on Twitter @Brandonwoelfel and Instagram @Brandon-woelfel to keep up with his new work. Even if you’re not a photography lover I’m pretty sure you can agree Brandon is a photographic icon for our generation which is why I thought it’d only be right to show how amazing his work is. Maybe it’ll inspire you, maybe you’ll make an expensive investment in fairy lights or maybe you’ll set it as your screensaver….who knows?! But what I do know is that you need to see his work, it is the top of your priorities, trust me.
Pretty sure it’s safe to say his work is my favourite. I don’t know how he does it but I am definitely mesmerized.
Would love to see more ethnic representation that would really put the cherry on the cake.
